Teej Celebration 1 year ago

Teej is the festival that holds great significance in itself which is celebrated in the name of union of Goddess Parvati and lors Shiva. Teej being the main festival especially for women and as its being our girls hostel we too celebrate " HARIYALI  TEEJ" on the honour of Goddess Parvati and lord Shiva. On this day in our hostel we get up early in the morning take bath, wear fresh and clean clothes & and have long fasting i.e. nirajal vrata. Taking fast is not compulsory but most of the girls shows their interest. We also enjoy dancing, singing, having photo shoot, video shoot and worshipping God and Goddess. The day before teej we always do have dar program which we celebrate having photoshoot, videoshot, singing, dancing same as on tha day of teej except for vrata. We have varieties of food a bit different than the other days. Overall, it can be said that we enjoy and celebrate this festival together which have been helping us to create warm and friendly realtion with each other.
